Getting to San Quirico d’Orcia by car
Coming from the north
- From Florence, so those arriving from theA1 highway, the recommended exit is Firenze Impruneta (towards Siena); continue to Siena and exit at Siena Sud. Then follow the signs for SR2 (Cassia) southbound, Monteroni d’Arbia, Buonconvento, and San Quirico d’Orcia.
- Or from theA1 highway exit Valdichiana; and at Bettolle continue in the direction of Torrita di Siena, Pienza, then San Quirico d’Orcia.
Coming from the south
- For those arriving from theA1 highway, take the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme exit. Continue in the direction of Chianciano Terme, and at a crossroads about 5 km turn left and after a few meters turn right, continuing in the direction of Cassia, Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d’Orcia.
- Coming from SR2 – Cassia, San Quirico d’Orcia is met on the road. Cross the bridge over the Orcia River and you will find Bagno Vignoni on the left. Continuing for another 5 km, at km 184 of SR2 you will reach San Quirico (exit on the left).
