The experience of Vald’O – Vineria Letteraria began six years ago on a night of stars within reach, in a moonless sky, with the cold that made words whistle in the wind like wishes, like tears:
“Freedom comes naked
throwing into the heart of the flowers
And we going in step with her
To the sky we say thou.”
Today those verses are engraved on the wall of the Vineria Letteraria, inside the village of San Quirico d’Orcia, a magnificent village in the heart of the Val d’Orcia. Words that have helped us, year after year, to make thought an action, to build a cultural outpost in which to celebrate the gift of encounter.
We have a strongly independent selection of books, wines exclusively from the winemakers, and local arts and crafts, unique pieces to tell the story of the uniqueness of our land. We are activists who believe in the miracle and act for the realization of a fertile culture of the land. Through dialogue and conviviality.
