Forme nel Verde: from 20 July to 3 November, Comfort Zone curated by Stefania Vichi
Forme nel Verde 2024 , which has reached the historic milestone of 53 editions, will host sculptures by internationally renowned artists from 20 July to 3 November 2023 at the Horti Leonini and in the usual historical exhibition locations.
Stefania Vichi will be the protagonist of the 53rd edition of Forme nel Verde. She is the artist chosen by Carlo Pizzichini, curator and artistic director of the exhibition, to characterize this year’s exhibition itinerary with her 20 unpublished works, including sculptures, videos and installations.
The Comfort Zone exhibition crosses the streets and squares of the historic center of San Quirico, in the evocative landscape of the Val d’Orcia, and develops in the natural stage of the Horti Leonini, in the rooms of Palazzo Chigi and in front of the Romanesque Collegiate Church of the city
Stefania Vichi was born in 1986 in Perugia, where she lives and works. Graduated in classical dance and lawyer, in recent years she has dedicated herself completely to art. As in a performance, Stefania Vichi always creates a relationship
between her figure and her works, documenting them through images that portray her as an integral part of her work. Dressed and interpreting her poetics, Vichi tells how the work belongs
to the artist and the artist to his work. Her ability to mix her art with sumptuous clothes, unlikely accessories such as plastic gloves, life jackets and buckets, showy costume jewellery, highlights a Stefania
Vichi capable of combining art with aesthetics and contemporary glamour.
His works cite baroque aesthetics. In particular, the sculptural forms of the Lex Italica, true baroque virtuosity, are characterized by the movement of a drapery that runs through the work and creates its singular plasticity. The first approach to large-scale works took place in 2015, at the request of an architecture firm in Milan. Thanks to this production, national and international commissions, exhibitions and exhibitions followed. Stefania Vichi has exhibited in Monte Carlo, Hong Kong and, in Italy, her works were chosen by the critic Achille Bonito Oliva.
It is among the longest-running art exhibitions in Italy. Forms in the Green was founded in 1971, the brainchild of Mario Guidotti, a collector, art enthusiast and connoisseur of modern and contemporary art, and was the first exhibition in Italy to propose visions of Land Art, that form of art in which sculpture interacts with space and landscape.
Forme nel Verde is the event organized by the Municipality of San Quirico d’Orcia capable of attracting and proposing the most important artists and young contemporary Italian and international talents.
